Temperature Sensor Adapter for Digifant MK2 VOLKSWAGENS's

Sometimes you want to add your own gages, and it's not always cut and dry where to mount the sending units. Toywagen.com has designed a new way to add an aftermarket temp-sending unit to your Digifant-equipped car, while utilizing a factory mounting location!  There is no drilling or tapping to be done.

Step 1: Remove the old sensor or the blank plug in the third port of the plastic coolant manifold on the front of the block.

Step 2: Install the Toywagen temp sensor adapter with the new sensor and  a new o-ring  into the port.

Step3: Run a wire from your gage to the sensor, and run a chassis ground to the front screw on the adapter.

APPLICATION:
This adapter was designed for and tested on MK2 1.8L 8V Jettas, Golfs, and GTI's with the Digifant Fuel injection system. The adapter will work with aftermarket electronic temperature gages utilizing a 1/8" NPT thread on the supplied sensor. Shown installed with an Autometer Gage. (Autogage #2355) Note: You are NOT purchasing the gage, only the adapter.

You need to replace or add to your stock unit (right) with the new brass unit (left).
 
 
 

The new brass part fits just like your stock sensor would.
